GEORGE WEISS SIGNED 1937 BASEBALL OPTION AGREEMENT/CONTRACT for Tiny Bonham
Hall of Fame executive who witnessed seven World Series championships during his 1947-1960 term as general manager of the New York Yankees. Enshrined at Cooperstown in 1971, he passed away in 1972. May 1, 1937 option agreement between the Newark Bears and the Oakland Oaks for Ernest “Tiny” Bonham. Signed be George Weiss, Vice-President of the Newark Bears and the President of the Oakland Oaks in black fountain pen with Nm to Mint signatures. Contract shows wear with three folds and a few small tares but is otherwise in good condition, signatures are well preserved.
